Tonsil and Adenoid
Some adults and children are prone to infections of the tonsils or adenoids. Other people suffer from large adenoids and tonsils, which can cause heavy snoring and mouth breathing. In both of these cases, a person’s overall health can be improved by the removal of tonsils or adenoids.
Septoplasty
This is a corrective procedure designed to fix a deviated septum (a displacement of bone and cartilage that divides the two nostrils). If uncorrected, deviated septums can cause breathing difficulties and repeated sinus infections.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty can reconstruct the form of a nose to improve its appearance or restore function by correcting breathing problems or other nasal defects.
Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
This procedure involves inserting a thin endoscope through the nostrils to remove blockages in the sinuses. Blockages, if left untreated, cause sinusitis, which makes the sinuses swell and become clogged, causing pain and difficulty breathing. Almost 90% of people report a considerable reduction in their symptoms after endoscopic sinus surgery.
Thyroidectomy
The removal of all or part of the thyroid can be used to treat a number of disorders including thyroid cancer, goiter (non-cancerous enlargement of the thyroid), and overactive thyroid.
